Production Employee (Metal Fabrication)

Position:General Labour

  • Melting bars, wire, or scrap to add to joints or to extrude melted scrap into reusable forms

  • Review blue-prints, sketches, and draft diagram documents to determine the best course of action for each build and assembly
  • Use a combination of hand and power-driving tools to assemble components of each build and fit prefabricated metal parts together to complete each build
  • Work as part of a larger production team to successfully complete each building phase, as well as troubleshoot, repair, align, clean, and lubricate all fully assembled parts prior to completion and shipping
  • Responsible for ensuring that all assembled components (wires, harnesses, gears, pumps, motors, etc.) are up to standard with the internal quality regulations; any damaged products and/or components are either mended or replaced
  • Maintain and repair all machines/tools on the shop floor (i.e. boring, milling, lathes, grinding, and universal milling machines)

  • Ensure all work performed adheres to all relevant organizational, provincial and federal safety regulations, codes and specifications
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Successful Candidates will Possess:

  • Must have D Class Drivers Licence
  • Able to drive in both Canada and the USA
  • Bondable
  • Valid Passport
  • Fast Card

Candidates will Provide:

  • Clear Driver’s Abstract (CVOR)
  • Medical report

Required Education:

High school or equivalent

Required experience:

  • Flatbed: 1 year
  • Forklift
  • Overhead Crane

Required licenses or certifications:

  • D Class Driver's Licence
  • Fast Card
